Thanks for that , much appreciated. One thing though, for future reference is maybe cut the Rad hole a little neater next time so that you do not need that crappy mouse pad thing, lol! Other than that, good job man.
haha thats the thing, since its plastic, I first planned to use a hand held circular saw but that also starts to melt the plastic from the heat when it spins and then I decided to use a soldering iron since I didnt want to risk cutting extra lines off at the edges but I guess next time i will just take it and have it laser cut lol but i have some plans I'm working on right now, modifying it and adding a lil extras, if you want you can subscribe to the video and you will get a notification once I post a new one of it when its done. I will try n post here as well so you guys can see
When i used to do case mods my tool of choice was a Dremel with a cutting blade. I used to cut inside the line i needed and then sand / file back for a real nice neat line. I have subscribed, but it you can please post any future videos here, its interesting to see Xbox One modifications... its food for thought for the future
I would appreciate it so i can have something to compare after lapping so everyone can see the difference.
Ordered the Xb1 waterblock today, emailed Sidewinder PC and they kindly threw one in their amazon store for me to purchase for $57.99 shipping included. Now to decide on internal or external..
belive it or not you need a proper length of tube , not too long , not too short ... I would recommend a all-in-one system , rad / res + pump combo , ( they are a bit pricey tho ) then use quick connects for easy moving and cleaning without a mess each time. A 1 loop system , with eeh say a 60mm thick rad will be just fine , just run a dual push/pull fan setup. I ran this on the watercooled 360 pc tower I built & sold the parts here even ... res/pump temps combo + rad I am not sure on the thermal take of the PS4/ONE , at worst case run 2 loops & 2 rads ... I'd almost say try this all-in-one here , I really like it ... Just not sure if will keep it cool or not Truthfully be close. Hope that helps , It is exspensive if you do correctly - sure it last ... but so does a good heatsink & fan kudos & have fun !
Keep the radiator on the same level as the waterblock not to high or to low. The pump must work to hard to get the fluid up. Even the pump can make a lot of noise so its best to make it easy for the pump.
Because we want to here is my xb1 waterblock test fitted on a corona to see how the fit was. ill get beter quality this evening. I HAVE A SPARE WATERBLOCK IF ANYONE NEEDS IT, AMAZON SENT ME 2
