Here is a video I put together of the XBOX One I water cooled. I'm getting temps of 35-38 Degrees C during game play. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gi8dORKvZI8 UPDATE: FINAL BUILD VIDEO https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hngrpHBjyE4
Great, I haven't bought a next gen console ( current gen? Idk) yet and I still haven't decided whether to buy one now or wait for the next version of the xbox / ps
you would think it would get better temps than that considering my air cooled xenon gets 40-45c cpu and 35-38c on gpu with stock fan speeds.
That radiator doesn't even look like its inside the console, looks like its stuck on top with playdough. Can you show us another vid with a clearer view of the inside setup?
Yea it is my own console and vid, you can check my other youtube videos and see all the other water cooling ive done for the PS4 as well. If you look at the pics at the end of the video it will show more of the inside. If you need me to take few more pics or so I can. let me know. Also I had originally planned on having it all inside the case not to show, but no matter how I tried it wouldnt all fit inside, plus i wanted the fan to be pointing inside to cool down the Ram chips also (since on ps4 it has those thermal pads on them whereas the xbox one didnt) not that its needed but just because lol. I put a cover around the openings on top to make it look more clean but in pics at end of video you can see what it looks like without the rubber cover around the radiator. Oh and yea keep in mind this is just a corsair h60 water cooler I installed, its not a full custom water loop which would bring much lower temps.
ill see if I can put something together, since it takes a lot of modification, I doubt anyone would be up for doing it themselves or else if it was plug n play I would have originally done a walkthrough video. But I will make a short video as soon as I get a chance to highlight what stuff I had to modify and where I wired stuff to etc.
I'm sure I not only speak for myself when I say i would like to see how you did it. I just need an excuse to rip open my XB1
think i'm going to try this,, thinking about making a radiator bracket from thin & lightweight angled aluminum and using dbl sided thermal tape and mounting it to the ram & alum would act as a heatsink for the ram & it would be all internal. maybe put 2 bolts or screws threw the metal chassis on right side to secure radiator frame. whats your thoughts on this idea?
what did you use as the waterblock for the heatsink , then i might accept you actually did it. ( note : I have done it on 360's - so i know how it works - lol ) I seen in the video your use a corsair block that is for pc , hence why it didnt look to fit corectly. here is the waterblock for it , after I googled it a bit : xbox one waterblock Not bad tho m8 , cool stuff none the less !
XPGtool, i think it would work great, as long as you get a thin rad and thin tubing for the water and get it to fit in the case would be awsome. Since without the water, a rad would just be a heat sick I guess lol. Also Setsae: I used the corsair complete kit, yea its for pc but with some modification on the bracket and using only 2 mounts I got it to fit fine on the processor. Keep in mind this is not a custom complete loop from scratch. Something like that would definitely not fit in the case. You would need the pump, res, tubing, rad and seperate fan for the rad which probably wouldnt fit inside. There just isn't any room for that inside so there was no point in me doing a loop from scratch like that. As you can see in the video bellow, i did the PS4 that way inside my desk since the PS4 had absolutely no room inside for anything, I had to modify it so much to even get the block on the PS4. My whole point was to keep it as clean and inside the case as possible, so you can carry it anywhere with you without having to worry about external stuff. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iG9PC6duk4I
Here is a video i put together. Hope this helps answer some questions you had or anyone else. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_koPzrfHf8Q&feature=youtu.be
just took off my xb1 heatsink and it has the worst base (surface area) that i've ever seen on a console. Wish I would have took pics before lapping.
