Xbox One profiles coming to Xbox.com

Microsoft has announced that Xbox One owners will be able to view their profiles on Xbox.com from later this week.

Until now, Xbox.com only lets players view their Xbox 360 profile, meaning only achievements attained on the last-gen console can be seen. Friends playing Xbox One also have a limited status on the site, meaning players can't see what game they're playing.

Since the console's launch Microsoft has been trying to get Xbox One owners to download the Xbox One Smartglass app on their phone, tablet or Windows 8 PC, telling them this is the only way they can view their Xbox One profile, friends, achievements and game clips.

According to the below video from Microsoft, this will soon be changing, with everything fully viewable on Xbox.com.

As well as the option to view their game clips directly on the site, players will also be able to download the hi-res images they unlock as achievements and save them to their computer, using them as a desktop wallpaper.
