The Xbox brand has always been known for its strong gaming capabilities, a leading games console for many years. However if rumors are believed to be true, the Xbox One may be getting a cheaper, lightweight version. Writer Brad Sams at Petri, who claims to have spoken to internal sources at Microsoft, says that there could be a Lightweight Xbox One coming in 2016, similar to the Apple TV. "I have heard from internal sources that the company is considering plans for a lightweight Xbox One that may only be for Windows store games and would compete with the Apple TV, but it’s not clear if these plans have been scrapped. A similar device was rumored around the initial Xbox One launch and those plans were put on hold but this device is said to be from a similar vein. If this device does materialize, it will not launch until the second half of the year and have a much lower price-point than the Xbox One." So if Microsoft were to try dominating the living room with a lightweight Xbox One that could play Windows games and have around the same power as an Apple TV, would you buy one? Do you really think there is a market for such a device? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below. Source: Petri.com

Probably another streaming box (low cost), rather than something that would store and run heavy applications and games. Using the XBOXone streaming to WIN10 service, it would be on the level the PlayStation TV or a low-end AppleTV.
