The launch of a new console never runs smooth, and that was certainly the case for the Xbox One.
It was always only a two horse race to be the 'Next Gen' console and Sony pulled off a fantastic start there is no doubt about that, outselling the Xbox One for 4 months, however the Xbox One is fighting back.

The Xbox One appeared to be having an identity crisis way before any launch date was ever revealed with its DRM policies and always online connection, which thankfully were all reversed. Microsoft have got a new weapon in their arsenal now and its name....

    Phil Spencer

[imgwrap='left']http://i.gyazo.com/a34a186249d1e1ae976ee40b04d35d18.png[/imgwrap]Phil Spencer leads Microsoft Studios and oversees creative teams around the world developing games, entertainment and premium content experiences for Microsoft’s family of devices including Xbox One, Xbox 360, Kinect, Surface, Windows PC and mobile phones. Phil Spencer readily admits that Microsoft lost its way with the Xbox One, but fully intends to make the next gen console all about 'Gaming first'.

Spencer is passionate about gaming and is all for listening to what we, 'The Gamers' really want, which is a games console first and home entertainment second, he promises to put 'gaming first' and that the Xbox One needs to have the 'stamp of the gamer”.

Microsoft are currently working on universal apps which means they will work across all windows platforms including the Xbox One, this means that we can expect many more apps a lot faster on the console in the future. Information has been released via a Microsoft employee that the Xbox One will also be getting background apps and music in the form of a new universal Spotify app which you will be able to snap and use as a background app whilst playing your favorite games such as TitanFall.

The power of cloud will also play a key role in the success of the Xbox One, not only is it set to make the system more powerful but also there is talk on backwards compatibility via a Xbox 360 emulator.

Keeping in mind that its only early doors for a console that is forecast to last a decade and the passion of the new head of Xbox I believe that the Xbox One will indeed fight back.

This is good news! Let's hope he really knows what he's doing.

Phil Spencer has worked in the industry for years under some very successful people such as Marc Whitten. He has too much too lose to let this fall flat on its face.
Since the new CEO took over there has been some radical changes within the companies infrastructure and merging all the Xbox teams certainly seems to have been the right idea with regards to the Xbox One brand so far. I say we can expect great things...

I have used both console PS3 and XBOX360 and I can say that XBOX 360 is better than PS3 but when it comes down to PS4 and XBOX one, PS4 is in another league and its way better than XBOX 1 and PS4 is also cheaper than XBOX 1 with better specifications and you also wont have to pay for Xbox live either.

In terms of next generation consoles, I would rate

    PS4 9/10 and
    XBOX ONE 7/10

And to clear things up...Im no fan of Sony . Im actually fan of Xbox and Microsoft but Microsoft really screw up this time.

I'm still waiting to get my Xbox one until they drop the price a bit but that is good news they might introduce an emulator. Backwards compatibility would be a awesome!

Yea I feel the same way having played both, and I am a loyal xbox fan. Thats why i refuse to pay the cost of an xbox one right now because it's a rip off compared to the ps4 that is better in pretty much every way.. Ill wait till the price drops..

The whole point of my article really was to highlight that fact that you can't really call it only a few months into what could be a decade of the eight generation of consoles lifespan, and that with a new structuring of the teams behind the Xbox One and also Virtual Reality on the horizon. Give it time and i think MS can pull it back.

I wonder if the Xbox one has the capability to integrate with virtual reality technology?

Yes it does , and Microsoft has just purchased various assets from wearable computing specialist the Osterhout Design Group rumored to have cost $150 million
