A group of Students known as notHALT on Twitter released the Xbox One Software Development Kit (SDK) so that anyone with Visual Studio 12 and a knowledge of coding code have a poke around the Xbox Ones engine and check out the inner workings. At the time of release and during our interview with notHALT the group said that they had "Well, we have future plans which will follow the leak" but couldn't say more at the time. We now know that one of the other releases is going to be the Xbox One Developer OS: https://twitter.com/notHALT/status/550305493999419392 Although the developer OS is almost certainly designed to work on an Xbox One development kit, there are surely going to be some helpful information contained within the files. The Developer OS is being uploaded as we speak: https://twitter.com/notHALT/status/550306572199821313 Although the developer OS only weighs in at 1.5GB the upload will not be ready until later tonight due to some 'technical' issues. https://twitter.com/notHALT/status/550310065748856832 So far there is no information other than the size about the Dev OS, we do not know how it differes from the regular XB1 SDK.
