XBOX LIVE is down for some Xbox One and Xbox 360 users in the UK and North America. UPDATE TWO: Microsoft say the problems that have been affecting core Xbox Live services tonight have been found and fixed.The Xbox Twitter support team confirmed the news around 3am, telling fans they should now have no issue playing online."The earlier issues should now be resolved," the Microsoft message reads."We hope you're able to enjoy the rest of your day with us!"The official Xbox Live support page has now been wiped clean of any error messages, although Microsoft have failed to reveal what was the cause of the original outage. UPDATE ONE: Microsoft has confirmed that there are now known problems with both social and gaming core services through Xbox Live.Problems accessing online have been listed alongside these other problems areas: In-game matchmaking, cloud storage, finding friends, Game DVR, leaderboards, avatar editing, or pictures.Xbox Live affected services: Viewing achievements Viewing or editing profile settings An official Xbox statement explains: "We are aware of the problem and are working to resolve the issue. "We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience."A further message from the official Xbox Live support team on Twitter states: "Our teams are investigating Social and Gaming issues on Xbox One."The Express can confirm that we are unable to access any games on Xbox One in either the UK or North America at this time. Outages started to occur to core Xbox Live services at around 9pm, UK time, it is currently not known what is causing the problem.Reports are coming in from around the country that users are unable to use their Xbox consoles online, it appears all multiplayer services are currently down.Some users say they are able to access online but are unable to play with friends or use the Friends List feature properly.One user wrote: "Can't access online at all, and friends are all offline sort it out please!While another replied: "Same, I can get online, but it's displaying all my friends as offline and I can't access online gaming." Fans have been hit by several outages over the past 12 months on both Xbox Live and the rival PSN service for PS4, PS3 and PS Vita.DDOS attacks have been known to cause mass outages in the past, one coordinated effect in 2014 effectively brought down both online services during the peak Christmas Day and Boxing Day period.There is currently no problems listed on either the Xbox Live Status site or via the Xbox Live support team on Twitter.
