see thats the thing. You should follow these simple steps when modding stuff on your xbox. 1 Never mod anything that will send data to microsoft examples gamer score, avatar items and what not. Modding your gamer score used to just be simple but now they watch it like a hawk since you can get stuff for having a high gamer score. 2. never do anyting that will get you noticed or make you stand out. Modding online games such as call of duty or halo. Especially halo as microsoft has stakes in it. 3. This is something i live by but i stick with only modding 1 type of game and thats always non versus games like borderlands, skyrim things that wont get you in trouble. Now modding borderlands could get me banned from xbox live skyrim not so much well there is like zero chances in that but i could still get in trouble on borderlands but its fun. So next time if you decide to do it again just dont go overboard
I also mod Borderlands and Skyrim. The shitty part about all of it was that I got reported for modding my XBL crown. You know...the thing that shows how many years you've played XBL. I don't know what possessed me to mod that, but I did. Like you said, just don't go overboard.
well you also chose a bad time to do it. I boosted my gamer score 7 months ago but just recently they initiiated a rewards program for how many years you've been on xbox live and how much gamerscore you get. Not sure if you were aware of that so now they keep track of all that information and so i doubt anyone reported you but im assuming your account got red flagged and when your dealing with altering your xbox live information and not just some silly game they saw what you did and boom ban
Make a new account. There is a possibility that attempting to unban your account could lead you to get console banned. I was banned for modding minecraft, profile avatar, skyrim and mw3. my gamerscore was pretty high too but the whole profile did't matter to me when i Got the 12/31/9999 message. I tried everything to unban my profile. But you have to think what will be the consequence if you get caught logging in logging out in your account trying to unban it.
I'm surprised people are still commenting on this haha. There is no way to get it back. I've even talked to two different people I know working for Xbox support and they said they don't have the power to unban it.
hmm this is interesting, just mod my profile to unlock some avatar, good thing that I made a backup, didn't connect to xbl since and they ban the account and the console as well?

You'll have to make a new account like me. Sorry. I was getting greedy I guess. I don't think you'd get banned for that, but modding Avatar items is probably pushing it. I wouldn't do it. I know of quite a few people that have modded their pictures and have had them for a year or so. But of course that was one of the things that I may have been banned for since I modded the Halo 4 picture back onto my xbox. You should be okay as long as you don't overdo it like anything you would mod.
