For anyone who hasn't seen yet, there is a new version out with a GUI and level.dat conversion (means inventory and armor are no longer lost and you spawn where you should). Biome conversion and conversion of map objects remain as the two final loose ends to tie up. I have attempted to provide 64-bit support with this release (the x64 zip is for 64-bit platforms only! If you do not use 64-bit, simply download v2.0.1.zip and NOT v2.0_x64.zip). This is untested, and I cannot guarantee it will run properly. 32-bit support has been tested as always. https://sourceforge.net/projects/xboxtopcminecraftconverter/files/v2.0.72.1/
I keep having issues with this... when using the most recent update, the ui says it is converted, but when opened in minecraft, and mcedit, it is empty. I then try to use the version before that, and it converts fine, but my world is nowhere to be found, just replaced with a normal world, not the flatland i had made. If someone could either tell me how to fix this, or do it for me, that would be amazing. I will upload my save once someone replies..
I'll take a look at it! Upload your save and I'll try to convert it for you. Diegoo, I'm not sure why that error would be happening and unfortunately I don't have access to a 64-bit PC to test it on. If 32-bit has been working for you I'd just stick to that, 64-bit doesn't have any additional features, it just might run a little bit faster.
http://www.4shared.com/rar/DslAu8Hg/pyramid.html Ive included the .bin file, along with the savegame.dat it is a flatland map made sandstone, with a giant unfinished pyamid at the center, just for referance. Edit 1: I trying again with the moost recent update, after switching out the expandx.exe with one from an older version. ill update when it is done. Edit 2: Success! i got it to succesfully convert, and open in both mcedit and minecraft. Thanks so much for this!
Thanks built it all myself, and had spent at least two days on it. Edit: have now finished the ouside of that pyramid, and most of the inside. Block count of how many blocks used fo far? 11,141,120.
Hey. Interesting tool. I found it quite difficult to use and it seemed very buggy for me. But it's nice to see more mc360 modders out there. Just wanted to inform everyone that my Xbox to PC converter should be out in a couple days in my All-in-One tool. It will convert maps straight to anvil ready for gameplay with one click. Conversion should take no longer than 1 minute depending on world complexity. Peace- oPryzeLP
You could just get a converter that plugs into the xbox and you plug your keyboard and mouse into it.
i keep getting this error System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not find file 'C:\Users\noah\Desktop\MC_XBox_to_PC_v2.0.1\MC_XBox_to_PC_v2.0.1\log.txt'. I couldn't give a specific bug because the thing froze randomly every time I tried to convert a world. I was honest in my post and I felt going into more detail would be more offensive than just saying I (keyword "I") was having difficulties with it, and that is was buggy for "me." It's not a competition bro. And your comment on my supposed "arrogance" was out of line seeing as you have never met me. EDIT: As is the reason why I hate all modding sites (XPG, se7ensins, TTG)............
Noah, is it possible that you are missing MSVCR110.dll? Do you ever get that error? That's the only reason I could think of that that log file would not be present, in which case the chunks must not be converting at all.
whatabout a simple easy to use pc to xbox converter that dosnt require mcedit(that program barely runs on my laptop takes an hour just to copy/save lol
