Hey everyone. My father asked me to set up an Xbox 360 for my younger brother (he isn't that good with technology), but I stumbled upon a problem. Every time I'm trying to connect my HDD to the Xbox It says:

Detected storage device change. Refreshing Mounted Drives.

But It refuses to recognize It. I already tried:
Buying a Y USB cable, thinking that It might needs more energy
Formatting my HDD to both NTFS and FAT32
    Using a smaller 8GB Pendrive

I'm suspecting that either my Xbox 360 doesn't like Western Digital or that It has 1 TB storage (or both). :( If you have any idea, please help.

I’m not sure what kind of Xbox we have. If I open It with the button what insert the disc It says It has Xex, but if I’ll do It with the normal opening button It says I have Freestyle, which is for Dash if I'm not mistaken. I have a thick black Xbox and I can see no lights inside It when I open It.

Also sorry if my English isn’t good, I’m not English and I can’t really seem to find the words today.
