Initially given an MA15+ rating in Australia for its original release date, Watch Dogs has been re-assessed and re-classified by The Australian Classification Board, who have now granted Watch Dogs a revised R18+ rating.

Apparently, the board has deemed Watch Dogs' violence 'high impact' rather than 'strong impact', as previously noted, and has shifted the game's 'sex' content from 'moderate impact' to 'strong impact', with "references to sexual violence and sex scenes" cited in the new classification. Saucy.

Watch Dogs will be launching in Australia with a R18+ rating rather than its previous MA15+ rating then. It's not yet known what ESRB or PEGI rating the game will carry, although we'd expect an M and 18, respectively. Watch Dogs is out on May 27th.
