Yep, I screwed up rare item signature (22 0B) somehow.
Redid all from the very beginning, and now it is Ok.

I put it on a level 1 demon hunter, its the only item he has, its the Visage of Giuya. I want to add maybe 9 seconds of Zombie Dog, if thats possible. I want it to remain legit though, so no 200,000 durability if thats possile

    Visage of Giya

    15 AF 22 94 8B 1D 9D 07 95 24 1D 09 33 16 46 1D A7 AE 10 83 1D 0D 63 B4 95 1D F1 70 07 AD 1D 66 23 06 50 30 09 38

found it :) so let's take you through the process of modding this helm

    15 AF 22 94 8B = Visage of Giya
    1D 9D 07 95 24 = ??
    1D 09 33 16 46 = ??
    1D A7 AE 10 83 = ??
    1D 0D 63 B4 95 = ??
    1D F1 70 07 AD = ??
    1D 66 23 06 50 = ??
30 09 38 = End of Item (Durability and such) *Do not Edit

Now you need to make a decision do you want to mod one of its current stat's for a new stat code? or do you want to add a brand new slot? Without knowing these thing's i can't properly make a tutorial for you

    To be Continued...

same method?? but you can't repair the gem itself right ? so its gonna be different as your TUT is for items (armor, weapon, ring, etc..) only and I can't figure it out how to add bytes for modding a gem.

you just take a rare item or legendary item i prefer using rare it's less glitchy make a 32 stat rare item then take the item ID from the gem you want it to be and put it into your rare 32 slot gear item ID when you go back in the game it will be called something different be rare and look like a gem. Sadly you can't see the stat's until you put it onto a piece of gear so practise make's perfect.

I would dearly love it if you would continue this mini tutorial because this is exactly what I want to do with several of my existing legendaries: replace some stats completely with different ones.

I also have a general question - if I add an extra stat to an item, for example 200 STR, but the item already has 300 STR on it, how does it appear on the item once I do that? Will it show as 2 different STR stats or will it show as 500 STR?

the 2 code's would add together so code a + b = c a=200 b=300 c=500 so in the end it would just show one single stat. Now sometime's there is exception's to this rule like attack speed has shown up as 2 different slots instead of adding together which is very odd we suspect that it was coded differently in-game for some odd reason cause one is for normal item's and the other is for legendary item's.

I have a question, is it possible to determine the actual value of a stat? Like the STR or VIT value in a slot?

I'm aware that it is unknown but how could one find it out?

only way to find out is put the stat id into an item and check to see what it give's it try the same code 5 time's to figure out its value range according to item type. Normal, Magical, Rare, Legendary, Set.

Nope, it's not that easy. Because it seems to also depend in which ID slot I put the value and what other stats I combine it with. I used the same Hex code for Dmg on Amulets and I got different values for different combinations. It's really strange and very hard to figure. For example if I use STR or VIT values mentioned on Legs, I get different values on my Legs than mentioned here. #

Something else seems to influence it as well. And you can't really see a pattern as 2 Hex codes for STR or VIT for example are completely different.

Viper, rather than adding extra stat slots is it currently possible to use a fresh legendary or rare and just change the slots from one stat to another?

    Example:

Let's say I have a legendary ring that has

    200 STR
    40 Poison resist
4 other miscellaneous other stats (not changing these)

and I want to change it so it has:

    400 DEX
    85 All Resist
The 4 other miscellaneous stats that I didn't want to change

Is this kind of editing possible?

    yup very easy

code would like something like this

    15 ?? ?? ?? ?? 1D ?? ?? ?? ?? 1D ?? ?? ?? ?? 1D ?? ?? ?? ?? 1D ?? ?? ?? ?? 1D ?? ?? ?? ?? 1D ?? ?? ?? ?? 30 09 38

just simply insert item id after 15 and enter each stat id after each 1D and done.

Hi Viper quick question about the byte length for each item
I watched your tutorial video and it was very informative but I am a bit confused as to why you have keep loading the game over and over to just add more values. Can you not just paste the value without overwriting using ctrl+V in HxD to move the rest of the items data down and insert whatever stat you want? For example, I am looking at BUBBA's save file with the numerous 14k Azurewraths and I want to adjust the values for stats and add new stats. I searched for 0F 82 3D 15 to find the first Azurewrath code in the hex editor and found this string before the next 15 0F 82 3D 15:
    15 0F 82 3D 15 1D 73 23 06 50 1D 6D 92 57 C2 1D 6D 92 57 C2 1D 83 27 3B C8 1D 83 27 3B C8 1D 83 27 3B C8 30 09 38 ED 3F 40 00 50 12 60 FF 7F 6A 21 0A 08 08 01 10 E2 84 CC EB 07 12 15 08 F7 C0 A9 C7 0D 12 07 08 04 15 1E 96 AE 98 30 09 38 00 40 01 6A 21 0A 08 08 01 10 E1 84 D0 EB 07 12 15 08 99 8D C2 9D 03 12 07 08 04 15 1E 96 AE 98 30 09 38 00 40 01 6A 21 0A 08 08 01 10 E0 84 D4 EB 07 12 15 08 9B 91 DB F3 0C 12 07 08 04 15 1E 96 AE 98 30 09 38 00 40 01 80 01 3C 0A 34 0A 08 08 01 10 E2 84 CC EB 07 1A 08 08 01 10 E5 84 90 E0 07 20 00 28 80 10 30 00 38 00 42 15 08 F7 C0 A9 C7 0D 12 07 08 04 15 1E 96 AE 98 30 09 38 00 40 01 0A 34 0A 08 08 01 10 E1 84 D0 EB 07 1A 08 08 01 10 E5 84 90 E0 07 20 00 28 80 10 30 02 38 00 42 15 08 99 8D C2 9D 03 12 07 08 04 15 1E 96 AE 98 30 09 38 00 40 01 0A 34 0A 08 08 01 10 E0 84 D4 EB 07 1A 08 08 01 10 E5 84 90 E0 07 20 00 28 80 10 30 04 38 00 42 15 08 9B 91 DB F3 0C 12 07 08 04 15 1E 96 AE 98 30 09 38 00 40 01 0A BB 01 0A 08 08 01 10 8D 87 E8 ED 07 20 00 28 A0 04 30 02 38 03 42 A5 01 08 95 99 F4 A6 0F 12 07 08 04
But the 1D section only repeats 6 times till the 30 09 38
Can I not just insert more 1D stat strings into this code to add more stats? If not, why not? And what is all the extra code at the end?
Thank you for your help with explaining this to me :)

P.S. Has anyone found the code for El'druin? I would expect it to be an item that he wields just like any other character right? So in theory you should be able to make your items look like El'Druin, they just may not have an image for the inventory or any information regarding them.
