You have to be at least paragon level 1 before you can edit your paragon levels. You dont have to go into the unknown section. your exp. points can be changed on the account tab.

Thanks for the help. So here's my problem, I started a brand new HC and reached a checkpoint, back out and proceed to edit. I put the level to 60 and 0 XP needed, kill some enemies and the XP bar doesn't move. So I edit to level 59 with XP needed set to 50, kill some enemies and 'earn' level 60 HC and proceed to kill more but again no additional XP earned. It doesn't seem to trigger anything. Any tips? I must be doing something wrong.

Also for the purposes of character import into PS4, I'm guessing it will look for total XP earned vs your existing level to calculate your new level and paragon level, since I edited my Paragon to 100 is that enough or do I also need to manually exit the total XP/ Not sure if you even can, etc.

    Thanks.

All you have to do is change the level itself. You do not need to change the exp, points at all. And then like i said, after that all you have to do is reach paragon level 1 and then you can just change that to level 100. As far as transferring your save over to the PS4, we are not sure exactly yet how that is going to work. So i cant give you any help there yet untill we can actually get on ROS and see for ourselves.

How do I get to Paragon one? So start a new hardcore character and actually earn level 60?

Is not working for me, I can edit the hardcore character to level 60 and it works but there doesn't seem to be any way to actually earn Paragon after that.

I see what youre asking now. So from the beginning, you can change your regular level to 59, hit level 60 by actually playing, then add exp points to get you just under paragon level 1,then once you hit paragon 1 by actually playing, then edit the paragon levels to what you want. I have never done it this way myself, but i think you can add 144000 to get to right under paragon level 1. You have to physically hit level 60 and paragon level 1 by playing in order for the game to recognize it.

I earned P17 on my regular character but afaik paragon is separate for HC. So you're saying edit my HC xp to 144000 then play to unlock paragon within the game and then proceed to editing HC paragon to 100? Where do I add the 144000? I'm confused what steps to take.

Yes. Its the same procedure for both hardcore and regular modes. You add the 144000 by going to the account tab, and then clicking on the hardcore tab from there. You will see on the 3rd line down it will say experience points. Dont quote me on that number but im pretty sure thats close.

I have been using the editor for a long time and have never had a virus or anything. Its safe. Some AV's just warn you when opening new programs.

I really dont understand why my editor isnt working...i get this error when i try to load decrypted save with d2 editor; you forgot to decompress 1st layer use BSD/Horizon to decrypt both layers.

    I turned 2nd layer off.

    I folowed this guide

Step 1: Download Bruteforce and the D3Editor.
Step 2 Install Bruteforce and extract the D3Editor Files to a folder on your desktop for easy access.
Step 3: Copy save from ps3 or xbox360 to a usb stick and copy it to pc.
Step 4: Run Bruteforce and decrypt the save you want to modify. (PS3 Only)
Step 4: Xbox360 instructions unknown to me at time refer to beginning of thread from any xbox details. (Xbox360 ONLY)
Step 5: Run DIIIEditor.exe and open the save we just decrypted.
Step 6: Make edits to account data or specific character data using the built in UI the program offers you to make things nice and simple.
Step 7: There is a save button from each section I would suggest saving before switching tabs to make sure things are being saved along the way through-out the modding process just to be safe [IMG]
Step 8: When all modifications are done don't forget to click Save-All under the file tab at top left of window.

    did i miss something ?

UPDATE: Patch 1.03 has reworked a few things in the game and the editor isn't 100% compatible yet according to a few people across the web so til further notice don't install the patch til you've made what you want otherwise your gonna loose out on your chance for a while.

Below is a google document i've prepared showing the new ranges for each piece of gear at lvl 70.
    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1UlY9Io0rK87rUGXqoAspSExOT9W9MvrBSssSCL5cSuw/edit?usp=sharing

hopefully the editor will be up and running again shorty after ROS officially release's on console.

Anyone have insight on changes? I read on official forums that items are removed and others report items with reduced DPS, etc. Also can you do basic edits to your 1.03 save or no? If so, what can be changed? Thanks.

CKY's editor still shows 32 item affixes, but as soon as I load the game, it takes out anything after 7. My unkillable had a great run.

You can have up to 24 affixes on an item if you add the extra 18 from gems.

Hey I thought I'd post for the first time on these forums. My Anti Virus flags the ps3tools.exe as a Trojan Virus, just curious if anyone else has had this and if it's my Anti Virus being stupid. I'll assume that it's being stupid since so many people have been using it so far.
