Hi Have searched here for relevant threads so hope that's understood b4 I get annihilated. I know there have been issues since 17349 but in my case it's the device explorer (within 360rev) that doesn't let you drill down into the game content etc. The usb drive is recognised but it doesn't open when you click etc. Checked horizon and that doesn't recognise usb drive at all. I can delve down in Windows Explorer to access the save file but not sure what use that is. How would I use 360rev to extract/mod/inject if it can't recognise the usb drive? Again apologies if this is covered by ongoing improvements to tool but I thought that was related to logging in which doesn't appear to be my problem. (unless it is without me knowing it!!) I use SanDisk Cruzer Edge 16Gb and have never had a problem with it so not relevant here. Many thanks for your time and hope I haven't fanned to many flames. Simon
Can I assume that none of the 46 people who've looked at this has had similar problems? In my case it seems to have completely nuked the use of 360rev. I feel like I'm answering my own question but is there a way of using windows explorer to edit saves now (rather than device manager within 360rev). Thanks
Sorry, don't understand how updating Horizon will help 360rev which is prog I'm using? Have I missed something?
Hello, updating horizon or 360rev wont do anything anymore Microsoft has changed the way USB's work in the latest update. To get your content off it, open my pc and the USB you will then see a content folder with your profile id then game id data. You can now go into these folders and copy the saves out and drag them into 360 Revolution or HoRizon to resign. Once done just copy it back and overwrite and it unplug and then boot as normal on the xbox from usb. I have attached a image below to explain I hope this helps you out.
Many thanks. Very helpful and clear. Can I just clarify the steps: I know you can use explorer to navigate to the save file so that's no problem. When you say drag it into 360rev can file and open achieve the same thing? When you say once done just copy it back and overwrite....How does this work? If you move the file it won't be there when you return it so the overwrite message won't appear? Are you therefore advising you copy it into the editor window instead? I'm just trying to figure out how this process equates to using file, open etc which was preferred way with 360rev. BTW Need to use 360rev as game not covered by Horizon. Thanks again.
If you copy the save out from the directory you want to modify to the desktop as a backup, you can then load it into 360rev or horizon mod it as needed then resign it, and then just copy it back into the directory overwriting the old save. Therefore you have a backup if the new modded one doesn't work.
Hi again I did exactly as you said but it didn't work, It seems to me that the new dash has completely nuked 360rev.
