4A Games is working on "unannounced titles within the Metro universe as well as further, unannounced projects", powered by its proprietary 4A Engine. The statement above came at the end of a 4A Games press release announcing that the Ukrainian company is set to expand its "triple-A development capabilities" by opening a new studio in Malta. While the existing studio will continue to operate in Kiev, key members of the office including creative director and co-founder Andrew Prokhorov, and chief technical officer Oles Shishkovstov, will relocate to Malta. Dean Sharpe, who has joined the board of 4A Games as CEO and head of business development, said: "By basing our new headquarters in Malta, a member state of the EU, 4A Games will be able to better compete on the international stage. Malta offers fantastic incentives for game development, and we are confident 4A Games will be able to attract the very best talent from Ukraine, Malta and beyond." Prokhorov added: "This marks the start of a new chapter for 4A Games. We are proud of our achievements as a young studio, and humbled by the response to our output so far. The team is looking forward to this new adventure." Following a series of leaks, publisher Deep Silver all but confirmed in March that 4A Games is planning to release remastered version of Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
