ok so have a jtagged xbox......i have an external HDD that i have all my GOD games on.........I have a usb that has DLC or "load disc 1 before playing" type of games ........cant remeber the exact procedure but i remember loading stuff onto the usb using horizon

Horizon wont let me load any files from this game onto it after i have extracted the ISO.......disc 1 doesnt have a "content" folder once the ISO extraction is complete ?????

can anybody give me some step by steps to get this working?????!!!!!

    cheers Dallas

First of all are you extracting the iso using the right tools? Use 360mpgui for iso extraction.

If you don't see the Content folder, You are likely to have a bad copy of the game.

Be sure to place the required contents in the right Partition/Directory in which many happened to overlook.

i know this is an rgh post but was just wondering if anyone could help me with this. I have a flashed xbox 360 phat and want to save a disc by putting the files onto a memory stick and copying to the xbox hard drive. I did the same with advanced warfare by extracting disc 1 with xbox image browser and using horizon to add them to my memory stick. Any chance that method can be done with this game? Thanks :)

yes i am using that extractor

the site i got the game from had no bad reviews...yet ;)

the disc 2 as a GOD loads up to the menu then says insert disc 1 so i assume that file is ok

other games that i have had to put the "load" disc onto a usb through horizon ave worked fine but yeah i cant see a content folder and the files from the discdata 1 and discdata2 wont load to horizon....keeps saying not right file type or something

so yeah if you have a step by step to make sure im doing the right thing or to confirm that i should be able to see a "contents" folder that would be great

here is a screen snip of what i see when i extract the disc 1 iso

    cheers for the help again

You've got me confused earlier on, There are no Content folder for this game and the one shown in the main post is for reference purposes only in which it will show after the required contents have been installed.

This game is easy, Just load Disc 1, It'll prompt you to install the data, Once done load Disc 2 to play the game.
I recommend you extract both disc to save space.

ok so now im confused......are you saying to use a physical disc to load the game up? i havent used physical discs in years with the jtag set up

i understand the concept but where do i put disc 1 (as a file...not a physical disc) to install the game? and what format do i put it in.....GOD...ISO.....extracted files?

or is this thread just a tute on how to put a disc in then ....load, then put another disc in?

am i asking about this in the wrong thread? should i start another one?

If your console is able to run Extracted iso's then use both disc's in Extracted format.

Depending where you store your games, Use the following directory structures:

    Games \ Middle-earth Shadow of Mordor \ Disc 1 \ Extracted Files.
    Games \ Middle-earth Shadow of Mordor \ Disc 2 \ Extracted Files.

ok so for those of you with the same Jtag set up as me (external hard drive that plays games converted to GOD)

    Extract the iso for disc1

copy that folder to your HDD where you keep you games

covert disc 2 to a GOD as usual and put in your games HDD

start your xbox and go to the "my games" section in the main xbox menu....you should see the mordor game in there....start it and follow prompts to install to the internal HDD of your xbox....takes a few mins to install...gives you a % as it does...when finished it will tell you to insert disc 2

go back to xbox main menu...start your Free style dash (FSD) and play disc 2 as normal....the game should start and run fine now

    cheers for the help guys!!!

This tutorial has been taken from that site we should not mention and is made by the user Paulo Koast & olivua.

By using this method you don't have to install the game to the internal/external HDD/USB.

First Extract Disc1 and the Disc2

In Disc1 folder move all the Layer0X.Arch*.* files from folder "somdiscdata0" and "somdiscdata1" to Disc2 root folder overwriting any files there.

Next open up default.archcfg.txt and make it look like this

    Layer01.Arch05
    Layer02.Arch05
    Layer03.Arch05
    Layer04.Arch05
    Layer05.Arch05
    Layer06.Arch05
    Layer07.Arch05
    Layer08.Arch05
    Layer09.Arch05
    game\
    d:\
    d:\game\
    d:\Layer01.Arch05
    d:\Layer02.Arch05
    d:\Layer03.Arch05
    d:\Layer04.Arch05
    d:\Layer05.Arch05
    d:\Layer06.Arch05
    d:\Layer07.Arch05
    d:\Layer08.Arch05
    d:\Layer09.Arch05

Next and final download these fake DLC install files and transfer the folder to you internal HDD "Content\0000000000000000"
    https://www.mediafire.com/?srq90oesc39r89n

Remove Disc 1 folder and rename Disc 2 folder to Shadow Of Mordor and transfer the game to you external HDD or USB Pen Drive.

    Good Luck!

I am using a Sandisk Ultra USB 3.0 64GB Flash Drive and the Texture pop-ins are almost gone and the load times are greatly improved!

Went from pressing the Start Button to bring up the options from 10 Sec to 5 sec and back to the game.

You'll need to Load Disc 2 to play the game after the installation Data has been Completed.
