    if this is indeed true he obviously had it specially built or something cause i own a BRAND NEW 250 gig black xbox and it gets burning hot from just 1 or 2 hours of play, and thats if it doesn't freeze up..

    If yours gets burning hot in 1 or 2 hours theres something bad i leave mine on for 24 hours some times when i fall asleep

    I leave my console on for days when I'm boosting Gears of War 3, and nothing happens to the xbox. So you're wrong.

    I used to have it on top of wooden dresser, but now I have it on top of a glass table. The most I have left it on for was two weeks and it still runs perfectly.

    This is completely true. If he set his status to away, it would stay on away until he changed it, even if he went offline.

    I have a phat xbox, 12v fan mod, and the case is open, I still have the little white chassy thing that makes for a tunnel from the fans to the internals, but thats it, no CD tray, nothing in there that I don't need, and I left mine on all summer last year here in Murica', and it never overheated, mine actually doesn't get that hot, like, at all :eek:

    well.. i may have over exaggerated a bit with the freezing, so far that has only happened on Skyrim but it does get hot pretty quickly, i dunno.. maybe they just don't build'em like they used to.. lol
