Thief will output at a native 1080p on PlayStation 4 and a native 900p on Xbox One, according to Square Enix. The publisher made the announcement to Eurogamer, before confirming that both versions of the game will run at 30 frames per second. The news comes hot on the heels of yesterday's reveal that Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes will also run at a native 1080p on PS4, with the Xbox One version running at 720p. The news that Thief will run at 900p and 30fps on Xbox One means it'll have the same output as both Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag and Ryse: Son of Rome. Game director Nicolas Cantin explained that the difference is hard to spot, saying the Xbox One version is just as good as the PS4 version and the resolution ""doesn't make much of a difference". "As developers, no," he continued. "As engineers, yeah. The engineers, for sure. But for us, as creative director or art director or level designer, we gave the same data. After that it's a more technological aspect of the game. The engineers have to manage that." Source: IGN
