Thanks for the Mod but the Speed is to fast and entering a new area take off all weapons. Maybe the Inventory is to big. if you press Y you can see that the weapons still there.... Edit: I can confirm that Inventory999 the reason is why the all is gone. I decreased the size down to 20 and vola, it work. I cant search the Inventorycap cause no RGH/Xk3y/jTag ^^. If someone can search it...
nice job kings. could barely play the first one so doubt i'll play this one but great work none the less.
Great release man! I was looking everywhere to try and find out how to edit the .pod file but couldn't find a damn thing about it - what program do you use or how can I edit it? I'd really appreciate your help I'm so glad you decided to mod this game as I absolutely love The Walking Dead - thank you very much for releasing Also, what are "relics" and how are they obtained for this game? It would be great if you could fix the inventory glitch (it deletes everything) and slower the run speed. Cheers x
my suggestion is edit the sprint speed only, that way you can play the game normally with the exception of running. thats what i did when the game first leaked and helped a lot when i needed it. also, if I'm right, when you edit the stealth relic to have smell and sound to 0, you should basically have no target
is there a FAQ on how to do that. still new to modding/hacking games. everything i do is editing a game save on a flash drive
Hope ya don't mind BxRKings, but I tweaked your file and set the inventory size to 20 (so no ones guns keep disappearing) and dropped down the movement speeds a tad. Just wanted to throw up a little quick fix for everyone until you finish v2. Download here: https://mega.co.nz/#!iFgUFCTJ!PqH5rFPX5POpC0MY8BlqQ2EMLZY_zmhGixPJz8K8X9E Full credit still goes to BxRKings, all I did was tweak 4 values.
Thank you What are you using to edit the file? I searched everywhere as I wanted to try and edit my own stuff. Your help would be greatly appreciated.
Quick BMS is the program I use, along with a script, to extract and rebuild the .POD archive. It is really an all-in-one archive extractor and rebuilder, but you must have the script to run to extract it. I will give you an easy tutorial: First you are gonna need Quick BMS: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/38234344/Quick_BMS_GUI_Installer_V2.0beta.exe Now you need the script file: http://www.mediafire.com/?zmz45oih4c4nh2g Now, once Quick BMS is installed, open it. Now click on Script File and click Open. Spoiler Open the script file that I have provided above. Spoiler Now click Archive File and click Open Archive from the dropdown. Spoiler Select the COMMON.POD provided by BxRKings, myself, or your own and click Open. Spoiler Now click Folders and choose Select Output Folder. Click make new folder and name it COMMON. Spoiler Once you've done that, click Extract. Spoiler You will know it's done extracting when it reaches 0e431440 826889 world\wp_12_s_stadium_2.lvlb. Spoiler From here, open the COMMON folder and then open the data folder. Spoiler Now the file you wanna mod is tweak.txt. Make sure that when you have finished modding it, that it is still 7kb in size. Spoiler MAKE SURE YOU DON'T SPACE/ENTER THESE DOWN A ROW, THE PROGRAM WILL NOT REBUILD THE FILE IF YOU DO. Spoiler Once you've finished editing the tweak.txt and saved it, go ahead and click ReImport in Quick BMS. Spoiler Again, you will know it's done when it reaches 0e431440 826889 world\wp_12_s_stadium_2.lvlb. Spoiler Congratulations, you have successfully modded the COMMON.POD, so go ahead and replace the one in your ISO with XboxBackupCreator or wx360! Credit for the original script goes to AlphaTwentyThree of XeNTaX. Credit to me for updating it for The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct. I'm all for sharing my knowledge, especially when other people will benefit from it. Yes, I will upload it now . Edit: Can't upload to MediaFire, as free users have a max upload file size of 200mb. Anywhere else you want me to upload it?
Wow, thank you so so much! I didn't expect an answer at all, let alone a massive tutorial. I really appreciate that. I'm going to see what I can do with this, cheers again! Also, where do you obtain the script (.bms) files from? It would be nice to open other archives @lllccc - I hate people that don't share modding methods. We're all here for the same reason. I would rather learn than leach so it's not helpful when people that know how to do stuff won't tell you, don't you agree?
