The Division Companions App Canceled

The companion app for the upcoming shooter The Division which developers referred it to be an important role of the game has been canceled. According to the developers the app was scrapped because it caused a negative side effect on gameplay.​

The Devisions companion app was designed to allow simultaneous and asymmetric gameplay between a mobile device and the console or OS itself.​

​

The apps whole purpose was to be able to join a game as a drone,seeing the scene from the top of the map and to provide support for teammates.​
