The value you have found is most likely the display value. Your best is to search for more bit types. What section of memory are you dumping?
The display value makes sense. So search for 8 bytes instead of 4? The section of memory i'm dumping, i'm using peek poker and artmoney for my dumps. Thanks Renegade!
No, 4 bytes. When searching for Ammo or Nades etc try looking for 2-4 Bytes (16bit or 32Bit). But what are you dumping? Basefile? Virtual? Full RAM etc?
Okay, so most 0xC offsets don't break. Try changing the offset address to start with an A or a B and peek the address to see if the data is the same. If so, breakpoint those and proceed. If not you'll have to search the memory elsewhere.
I've tried both of those and the data changes to all 0. I used the rinse method, I started out with 6 grenades then did a memory dump, did the same thing until i was down to 1 grenade. Then I used artmoney and I ended up with 5 results. Could this just be an issue with this particular game?
Rogue Warrior is driving me crazy but I really want to figure this one out. Is there another way to search for my BP?
Like I said you'll have to search elsewhere. The value in some cases can also be stored as a float. So it's worth trying that too. Other than that. You'll have to try the xex. Could be encrypted memory maybe. If you have five results...try and poke them to see if it actually changes.
Like I stated earlier I did poke those results and they changed but immediately reverted back to the prior value without me throwing a grenade. When I did the same thing with Rainbow Six Vegas 2 i ended up with 9 results. I found the right address and when I poked 500 grenades it worked, until i died then i couldn't find it anymore, so i'm assuming it's dynamic. I'm under the impression it could just be something with this game. Thanks for all of your help!
Most of it is Dynamic, yes, anything in the 0xC, 0x3, 0x4, 0x4 etc range is 90% of the time Dynamic. Even the slightest thing like TV resolution, controller type, AV output type etc can change the memory in numerous ways. Maybe sometime after Wednesday, we can get on teamviewer and I'll have a look for you. If they are reverting to the original. Then it's more than likely a display value as I have stated already. The best thing to do is dump the full ram, and search through them until you have very few results.
I didn't know that searching for values was going to be so tedious. I'm going to keep at it. If I haven't figured it out by Wednesday i'll get in touch. Thanks for your help Renegade!
And i believe i can remember something about Rogue Warrior being one of "those" games, where they're tough to do anything with, but i might be mistaken. If you need further assistance feel free to PM me.
that means the file was corrupted when you downloaded you will have to re download the rar and it should open fine
i have already tried this multiple times. always CRC error in the .pdf file. edit: i also told WinRAR to keep corrupted files. But when i open the PDF i get an error in Adobe Reader.
