Here’s a new trailer for Star Wars Battlefront’s Battle of Jakku DLC, which goes live for those who pre-ordered the game from today. Everyone else has to wait until December 8th.The Battle of Jakku DLC includes two new maps themed around the desert planet. The trailer shows off the Graveyard of Giants map, available in all vehicle-based modes.You’ll recognise Jakku from The Force Awakens trailers, with the dirty great big star destroyer face-planted in the sand. The Battle of Jakku takes place 29 years prior to the events of the movie.If you wanna watch more footage of the DLC, EA hosted a special livestream last night. You can wach the archived video on demand through this link.Also included in the Battle of Jakku DLC is a new mode called Turning Point, which supports up to 40 players and tasks Rebels with locating and capturing one of three control points.“The clock is ticking, but if the Rebel team succeeds with a capture additional time will be added and new control points will be available for capture,” says the blurb. “Moving through these increasingly challenging checkpoints, the ultimate goal is the Empire’s base where the final stand will take place.” How are we liking Battlefront then? The worry was that the game would get boring after a short time, but a few weeks and almost 30 hours of play later and I’m still loving it, for all its faults.
