Standby mode appears to be on the Xbox One platform cost Americans a lot of money.

Noah Horowitz wrote of the American defense of the National Council of resources, "even when it seems your Xbox One is off, it still consumes large amounts of energy around the clock, even when you are asleep or when your child is loving video games in school."

According to a study carried out by the NRDC, the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U collectively consume energy per year enough to run all the houses in Houston for a year. Sony has made several updates to help in energy consumption, but Microsoft did not correct it in the Xbox One devices.

"Although Microsoft has reduced the energy consumption of the operating pattern of 18 watts to 12.5 watts, but the default style is still the same and there is no possibility to change it only dive in the device settings to disable it, and a small number of users will do so."

Noah Horowitz says that the problem can save $ 250 million annually from future energy bills in the United States..
