I recently tried using the spierwick saves but when i drag and drop the save file i get an STFS error.Can anyone tell me what is wrong? Perhaps the saves are just broken? If they are broken does anyone have ones that are not?
Yeah, I too grabbed the Spiderwick saveset and found that the files weren't proper CON files. I looked at the files using and a hex editor and they definitely aren't proper CON files. But I did managed to get them to work! step 1: You'll have to copy paste each file from offset 0xD000 for 0x3800 bytes and save it as a new file (don't overwrite the original, save it somewhere else) using the same name as the original save file e.g. swick000001.sav. This will create a file that is 14,336 bytes in size. The file will start with "SWSG" and end with a whole bunch of 00. step 2: Get your own save file from playing the game. And replace the file within the CON file with the new file you made from step 1. step 3: Rehash and Re-sign and you should be good to go. I managed to get all the achievements for this game using that save set following the steps above. Lucky that I just did this last week and still remember all the steps I took
Sorry, no. It would take me too long to re-do all 27 files. Because I manually editted the files, all the files now have my IDs on them and it will take too long to manually null them all. It would be much quicker for you to do them yourself by following my instructions. Also, I also saw them on another site with the fixed files. I believe the original files were created on a banned console, thus all the save files were 'corrupted' and would only work on the original console. I believe there are tools to fix banned console save files - may be you could try one of those.
