Concept art for Sledgehammer's abandoned third-party Call of Duty game have appeared online, courtesy of artist Eddie Del Rio. The images show some of the environments and action from the game, suggesting a dark done. That fella's head is totally going to get sliced off.

Sledgehammer Games was working on the title all the way back in 2009. Set during the Vietnam War, the game was going to feature a third-person perspective, a first for the series. However, the game was cancelled when Sledgehammer was drafted in to assist on the development of Modern Warfare 3. The developer is now working on Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, as the series shifts to a three studio, three year cycle.

I'm glad it was cancelled, Vietnam war games are done to death and 3rd person would of been crappy.
