That totally sucks. Both you and the community, but especially you, did a great job on setting up this database. If there's anything that can be done to help just yell.

Setting up another database is the only thing that comes to my mind right now. Giving everyone the credit they deserve is really hard in the situation you described especially when all data is lost or corrupted.
Giving everyone the credit they deserve would only be possible when everyone would upload their files again, I think. Or if anybody would have a previous version of all pages or screenshots of all websites which display the uploaded files with the uploader displayed next to it.

It would be a huge dissapointment though if everything would be lost since it was an extensive database already. One of the things possible is checking the major uploaders if they don't have any problems with the database being set up again, but without them being creditted for every single file, and just giving credit to all major uploaders in general.

Anyway, I'm kinda new to this forum and just found out about it a few weeks ago. I'm able to supply something like 45 games with a 100% completion for this database.

Hopefully any of this will help or give an idea about the things to do.

 

I like your suggestion - I think that's what I'm going to do.

My other option is; and again - this would also be based on a complete "honesty system" - to put up all the exGPD files and allow people to login and add their names to the files they have uploaded (to the best of their capabilities); and keep a general credit to all uploaders listed as you suggested.

 

Alot of the games posted to your library were also posted in this thread, so it would be a little easier attaching who uploaded what. That sucked that all was uploader info was lost. But cool that you still have all the exGPD's. >.<

 

I agree with Menov fill in the gaps where you can through the thread rather than fully relying on the honesty of others. Being one of the major contributors to the archive I would feel really ripped off if someone else from the community came along & tried to claim rep on a file( especially with so many leechers & users taking credit for work that they have swiped from other sources) that wasn't theirs...I would assume that this will happen anyway if we solely rely on the honesty system. It may take a while to get things back up & running but better to have things as accurate as possible to ensure that everyone is satisfied with the end result.

 

guys I have personally unlocked the results in order on my profile offline following the correct order for all in offline security ... but when I go on xbox live results offline me marks them in a different order ... why? yet when the riscarico tag me on my x box marks them in order ... microsoft can see the results of the trophies unlocked offline? sorry not American

 

I think that this is a good idea, I don't mind not getting credit for the games I uploaded if it means that the community benifits from the full libary being available.

 

I can upload many files again, if necessary my friend. I did not know it had happened...

 

I checked my 100% (including DLC) games. I can make all of them available, though some of the might already been uploaded before.

From memory most of those were already up, im fairly sure the OP said the library is still in existence it's just that he no longer has knowledge of whom uploaded what. Just be patient wait for it to be restored before you go & jump the gun here...

 

Hey I am trying to access the Online exGPD Library but always pops as opps could not connect to exgpd.luci5r.com. Is the web offline does anyone know?

It has been taken down until further notice due to the library crashing...please be patient it will be back up soon enough, if you have exGPD's to add keep them in a safe place in the meantime!

 

Just trying to help, my friend. I'm not trying to steal anyone else's credit.

 

I am yet to accuse you of such, I'm merely stating to not get ahead of yourself. We currently have no library so there is no point in offering up additional exGPDs until the OP has the library restored, then you can add whatever the uploader will except.

And in anticipation for those that only read the current page of the thread, yes the archive/website is down, it will give a error message along the lines of 'connection timed out'. Do not freak out...

 

After much delay & pilferage, I have the Server back up & running. Had to redo the entire operating system all over again; decided to do it from scratch. The good news is that I will have the latest Apache / PHP / MySQL running on Windows 8.1; and i'll also have persistent backups in place to avoid such a catastrophe from happening again.

First on my agenda is to get the Domain Name linked up to the Server so I the websites can come online. IP Address and all other authentication stuff has changed so everything needs to be setup again.

Once that is done, I'll make the Library available online with the ability to go in & add your name to the titles you uploaded. We'll handle disputes on a case-by-case basis; but as some of you pointed out - a lot of the uploads were posted here so it won't be hard to go back & verify. The library will go up with all exGPD's without any uploader credit associated.

Still work to be done, but it's progressing.

Notes:

- All 565 exGPD's available to download!!
- All functions & features have returned!
- Persistent backups put in place to avoid such a disaster from happening again!
- New Server / Operating System & newer Apache/PHP/MySQL running the Library
- Should experience visibly faster speeds & a smoother experience.

Important:

- Currently, all exGPD's are credited with a generic user called "XPGCommunity", giving everyone credit for their hardwork & contribution
- In a few days, an advanced management module will go online, giving you the opportunity to replace the generic user with YOUR username to give yourself credit for past uploads. Any unclaimed exGPD's will retain the "XPGCommunity" user.
- The module that will allow you to put in your username will be on an "Honor" system & hopefully everyone will respect that. Disputes can be handled here.

Hi i have uploaded Black Ops 2 100% legit + all 4 DLC's

It was uploaded under the name of 415608C3Full.exgpd
as it would not let me upload it under the standard title id as it was already in the system but is missing achievements
