Not at this stage due to the exGPD's all coming from different uploaders...I do believe a few of us have the whole library saved on our computers. It seems kind of pointless forming it all into a zip or rar as there are new files being added, which means the file would need to be modified continously...

"Cabelas Outdoor Adventures" was uploaded successfully this morning! Thanks!!
I'm trying to work out a quick & easy way to implement the User Administration feature; I've got a good idea how to go about it - just need to fit it into my schedule. I'm really hoping to accomplish it this week.

The problem with the different filenames theory is; Yes, that would allow the duplicate entry to be created in the database (thus showing up in the Library twice) and also allow the file to be uploaded -- but then where is the 2nd file? There was only 1 exGPD for that game on the Server. Right now users don't have the capability to delete or edit uploaded files. So I'm not sure.

WOW!! You really know a thing or two about the Japanese dialect. VERY Interesting. You'll probably end up Chief of Linguistics in our little exGPD Library Team!! I actually ended up adding "Time Rip" in the Title of that game next to it's original Title. If/When you get a chance - take a look at the other two titles uploaded by MastaOfEvil -- they are both Japanese imports; I wouldn't mind adding their Actual Japanese title next to the English title. See if you can find any info on those.

Thanks man -- Really appreciate it. This is awesome.

    +1

I agree, I don't see any point in allowing a full server flush. I know there's a PHP function I can use that will allow "download all files within directory" which will give all latest & updated exGPD's, but in my opinion it kind of defeats the purpose. Both the uploaders & myself have put in valuable time to create a searchable & organized library - I think the least a downloader can do is take the time to download files individually, mentally acknowledging each uploaders contribution if nothing else.

Download over 500 files would also put undue load on the server; especially if multiple people start doing so simultaneously.

Ok so Memories off 6: Next relation, I simply just used google translate for the 'next relation' part. There are two things wrong with the title which can be attributed to poor translation or it was simply left like that to create the effect of the cheesy attempt at asian culture trying to assimilate into a western product. That is just my opinion however. So first off the ..."off" in the title is probably meant to be of, & ..."next relation", is likely meant to have been relationship. I come to this conclusion as this is one of many japanese titles that are a visual novel. Now the Memories off franchise (yes they have all retained off since 1999) are romance visual novels. Where you play you basically just read a whole lot then at certain points make 2 choices from 5 options. You play as several different characters from what I have read.

So when I got the Japanese name for it this was what I got メ(Me)モ(Mo)リ(RI)ーズ(Zu)オ(O)(Fu)(6):次(tsugi)の(no)関係 (kaneki) or all together メモリーズオフ6:次の関係. Now if I were to clean up the english to 'of' instead of 'off' you would get this instead 六の思い出:次の関係 (6 no omoide: tsugi no kaneki). So slightly different, if I were to ask a native Japanese person which is more correct they would likely say under normal circumstances it would be the second one. But given that it is a title of a game which means that it does see some interest outside of Japan the initial title would be more fitting. So if you are to add the Japanese title go with メモリーズオフ6:次の関係.

Chaos Head Chu Chu or also known as Chaos; Head Love Chu Chu...The next bit of information is pulled straight from wiki ..."is a romantic comedy visual novel". "The player assumes the role of Takumi Nishijo (西條拓巳), the protagonist of Chaos;Head Love Chu Chu!While Takumi used to be a loner, he's started to try to pull things together and is on the path to becoming a regular person again. Sounds like thrilling stuff but I am sure Masta of Evil can vouch that this was a easy completion like most other visual novels...Now upon having a good think about this one I wasn't sure how the title would appear again with the debacle of the natural dialect vs katakana. I tested it via google translate and it returned some drudge in all katakana, now I know the japanese have kanji for head, chaos & love, there are over 1900 in the Japanese governments approved list & upon further reading I found this little table

Numbers of characters and reading level

    Source

    Number

    Level

    Learnt at shougakkou-primary school (小学校)

    1,000

    Schoolchild

    Jōyō kanji (常用漢字)

    1,945

    Good reader

    JIS level one kanji
    Kanken level pre-one

    3,000

    Excellent reader

JIS level one and two kanji
    Kanken level one

    6,000

    Kanji expert

    Dai Kan-Wa Jiten

    50,000

    Specialist
So I had a fiddle around with google translate looking for alternate words to replace the katakana and I came up with this; 混沌 (chaos)(head)(love)チューチュー(chu chu) simply 混沌頭愛チューチュー. This looked far more correct than カオスヘッドの愛チューチュー. Despite my concern of the words just being put together and having no real meaning the kanji version I have found would still be a better option than the katakana more so for aesthetic purposes if anything else. My obvious recommendation being 混沌頭愛チューチュー.

    Sorry for the long post.

Another duplicate announcement whilst I am looking for anymore exotic titles in the archive; F.E.A.R also has two uploads, kadaj & myself both have a version up but from memory his was uploaded before mine I think? Also Star Wars the Force Unleased 2 Michaz again has managed to get a version of his onto the database along with mine.

I tried to find a korean translation for Wall-e it translated the Wall bit to byeog so i think google translate took this translation too literally...Speaking of the german versions we have of a few titles arent being translated by google translate so if we have someone who speaks german may be able to convert for us there...otherwise I have a guy I can ask.

Wanted: Weapons of fate japanese version I just did a google translate on this one it returned this 募集:運命の兵器, not sure about this one as instead of reading left to right, japanese is usually right to left so when they see wanted: weapons of fate they would translate it to roughly "of fate weapons: wanted". I'd maybe leave this one be, otherwise just roll with it 募集:運命の兵器.

One last thing that I have noticed is I hadn't uploaded Feeding Frenzy...Id uploaded number 2 but not the first so you should now find that in the archive! Im sure there are more titles I missed but in the meantime I will keep on keeping on!

I was rolling off my chair while reading that; literally; and I was actually busy with some critical work.

Once again your expertise & wealth of knowledge exceeds your reputation! Japanese titles added. This was very interesting. I almost wish we had more Japanese titles in there now.

I still don't understand how these duplicates are getting generated. When I tried to do one deliberately - I get the errors & notifications. It's impossible to troubleshoot a problem you can't replicate. I don't understand why this is happening for others if it's not happening for me.

The only one other thing I can think of; not the Bulk-Uploader, but the regular uploaded does use some very latest DOM & HTML5 classes & features, which are 'dependent' on the latest HTML5 Compatible browsers. I'm wondering if you use an older browser that doesn't support HTML5, if instead of failing, it actually allows the upload without errors. I know it's not overwriting or rewriting the file; it's really just allowing the Database entry. I'll have to look into that.

    Your most welcome :)

You are most welcome I was thinking it may have been simply overlooked and seen as trying too hard to be funny but we are all gamers here so I thought it'd be worth a try.

You are far too kind as I said I had the internet do most of the work this time, I just used what I had to make a logical decision. I'm sure masta of evil will be getting more. I certainly intend to get a jap console hopefully sometime this year so that I can play a couple stackables as well as some of these easy visual novels & such.

I actually have a friend that recently traded a PAL console for a JAP one & the agreement with our friend from japan was that they would trade games based on gamerscore e.g 1000G for 1000G. I was looking to set up a similar agreement but my problem is I trade my games in for new ones rather than holding on to them, thus I am trapped in the endless quest for gamerscore! I can also obtain a google docs file that one of the above people have which it lists a whole lot of japanese titles how easy they are to complete & whether they have english walkthroughs to help you finish them and understand the title screens & options in the game!

A disappointing thing about japanese titles however there are a few games that have unobtainable achievements, this is because different developers make them for the japanese stackables ie Mass effect 2 & unreal tournament 3. With that being said there are ALOT of stackable japanese titles that can be done, some will require DLC others mp partners which of course will be difficult to find but well worth it in the end!

I'm not much for programming to be able to offer any intelligent suggestion in regards DOM & HTML classes. Maybe though Michaz2 can come out of the shadows (so to speak) and explain what they are doing when uploading their files onto the archive?

    ( Thats a Ticket on the API´s GitHub ;-) )

Dont want to steal any work or idea here.
I just never expected that there would be so much demand for something like this.
So my idea, a Libary fully supported by exProfileEditor.

Its probably going to take a while... but once we get that working, we got something for the next generation ready ;-)

The 'Download Picture' Option on exGPD isn't Checked anymore nor is it able to be Checked, just wanted to know if this is happening to just me or if anyone else has noticed this.

There are some major changes being put into the API; ultimately it's going to be 400% times faster and a lot better - all achievement images will be available to download far easier then currently. The option is disabled right now due to the work in progress on the API/Server.

Expect amazing updates very soon!! :)

I mentioned about this before but it keeps doing ti still no matter what I try and it makes my profile look iffy.

Game last played date I add few gpd to my profile set with the ticks everything offline even the game itself at the top then go on my 360 offline but as soon as im online it shows all those games with last played with that date so i have how ever many games i added to my profile showing the same date.

if i take my profile back and edit it so they are offline again on my console it shows no date but if i recover or check online it shows those dates again

Hmmm I thought we had come to a resolution for this issue, I had the same problem but it was & has been overlooked by people as the date has since passed now...

I know after I had mentioned about it before a few suggestions had been posted up but none of them work all they do is appear on my own console to have fixed the issue but once online it goes back or adds a date.

Right well we can't really have people adding exGPD's to their profiles with dates from a year ago and further beyond. I have tried mucking around with the dates on games, I believe the problem lies in one of two areas. Now I'm only taking a guess here because my knowledge of programming is very limited.

Theory 1) The date is locked into the exGPD so if we set it to offline it will 22/10/1601 or whatever it says, if it has been last played online then it'll be that date. Now there may be a setting somewhere that will allow the date to be modified when turning a gpd to a exGPD. If there is I have no idea which one it could be, anonimize will apparently set the gpd back to "normal", but whether that includes the date or not...I simply don't have the patience to test this out as it's time that could be spent keeping the library updated and adding new content where possible.

Theory 2) Simple issue with the coding for the date in exPE programming, something such as this could have been missed as the exGPD component of the program would have seen minimal traffic prior to Mickey starting up this fantastic exGPD archive. If a problem goes un-noticed by the users then the designer won't likely pick it up either.

If v3n3 see's this he could maybe look into it but not as the program is. Basically if you didn't read above some big things are happening with exPE & will certainly take a priority over an issue with date modifications not sticking.

If V3n3 doesn't see it Mickey can always get in contact with him I suppose. Until then sit tight otherwise there is a slightly more annoying solution to your problem. Basicially any games that you have an issue with the dates just rent/buy the game fire it up to change the last played date and then return it/them before the refund period.
