HomeFront, a first person shooter released by THQ back in 2011, was sent to die when it was put up against the titan of the FPS world: Call of Duty. Since then, THQ has gone bankrupt, Treyarch took several key features from HomeFront and incorporated them into Black Ops 2 and Crytek bought the HomeFront franchise. Well there is good news if you were looking forward to seeing a revival of the series. It was safe to assume we would see a sequel - there is no reason for Crytek to purchase the brand without that intent, but today we get out first pre-alpha footage of the game. Now, this is rumored pre-alpha footage, so things can barley be considered "working", but it's a good sign that things are moving along at Crytek in order to get this game running on next generation consoles. It's also important to note that this footage has not been confirmed by Crytek, so always take it with a grain of salt. http://youtu.be/TMLRMpWw66I Source - Examiner
