I'd recommend re-hooking up the external HDD, and formatting it on the Xbox.

Don't forget it is 500Gb and may take awhile to show as it's a big drive, before you say I've just formatted a 250GB and 500GB HDD using the Xbox default and does work. Make sure all connections are rock solid and if it helps try using the latest dash aka dashboard and nothing else is connected via usb.

    The following should be connected:

    1. Internal HDD
    2. USB External HDD
If it doesn't work please get back to me.

Okay or i am a noob or this is a bit strange. When i make with easeus a partition under the 32gb its showing up in fsd as usb0 its working very well!

But when i make a bigger partition its not showing up!

I think maybe its a problem with the software maybe can i only use 32gb i dont know..

Can help anyone me with this?

You can easily use up to 2TB. Is the hard drive you are using a Seagate? I have a 2TB Seagate that works on my RGH, and 1 that doesn't.
