Red Faction: Guerilla 2 and Darksiders 3 "definite" possibilities, says Nordic Games

Nordic Games is still is the process of deciding the fate of Darksiders and Red Faction, which are both licenses it has inherited from THQ.
Reinhard Pollice That product development director has discussed his thoughts and feelings on both titles and a possibility of keeping them going in an interview with Xbox.com:

Speaking to GenGame, Pollice observed that "the Darksiders franchise is well lined out, in terms of what gameplay mechanics worked out really well", adding that "Darksiders I and II teased certain things [plot developments] and obviously we don't want to disappoint people.
"So we really want to sit back a bit, take a look at what possible angles we can take for the next Darksiders game, and also work with the right people on that," he added.
Many of those who worked on the IP are now employed at Crytek's USA studio, formed by ex-Vigil staffers. "They still love Darksiders," Pollice noted. "I don't know if they will tell it publicly, but they do. We are talking to those guys, but that's all I want to say right now."
Apparently, Vigil "never had a fully lined out plan" or "concept... in terms of gameplay" for the third game in the series. "They are all pretty open to what it can be," said Pollice. Four-player co-op is "one possibility", though Pollice thinks "it shouldn't be a fixed four-player thing, it also needs a good single player. A lot of Darksiders fans want to have a single player experience as well."
So when can we expect an announcement? "Definitely don't pull it off the radar," Pollice teased. "Just watch out. Check out what we're announcing. There will be a future for Darksiders. There has to be a future for Darksiders... and it will be awesome. Darksiders is always awesome and it will continue to be awesome. It's a rule. That's like a rule. In the rules of the world, it is written, Darksiders must be be awesome, or is awesome."
A pretty safe bet, then. Red Faction's prospects aren't quite as easy to read, alas, though in a heart-jumping turn of events, Nordic has considered putting together a sequel to Red Faction: Guerilla, which is popularly considered to be the finest of the franchise's Xbox 360 outings.

This is awesome, I would definantly like to see them release another Darksiders game and from the comments of Police it certianly looks they will be keeping that franchise alive and kicking.
