Having launched on Xbox One over the weekend, Microsoft has now removed Red Dead Redemption from its list of backwards compatible Xbox 360 titles, alongside a selection of other games that erroneously spilled onto the Xbox Games Store "due to an error", according to MS."Microsoft tests all Xbox 360 games with our [backwards compatibility] emulator to ensure a quality experience across a breadth of titles," said Microsoft's Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb in a post on Reddit. "Due to an error, some of the games currently in test were accidentally made available. We have since removed access to those games, and apologise for any confusion this may have caused. We will have more information on upcoming releases soon."Left 4 Dead 2, Alan Wake's American Nightmare, Tekken Tag Tournament 2 and others were leaked onto the Xbox Games Store during the weekend, despite no official announcement from Microsoft. Red Dead Redemption is still playable offline, although an update that can't be installed apparently renders the game unplayable online.Hopefully, Red Dead and the other titles leaked will be available legitimately as backwards compatible games on Xbox One soon.
