To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Playstation, Sony launched a special Limited Edition Retro-Themed PS4 Console which has a PS1 theme. Sony only released a limited number of these special edition PS4 consoles to commemorate the birth of the Playstation brand which began way back in 1994, 12,300 to be exact. The consoles went on sale just after the Playstation experience and unsurprisingly sold out within the hour. There was that much interest in the consoles that the website constantly crashed making checking out a nightmare. Those lucky enough to make it onto the website and complete the transaction will receive their retro styled PS4 sometime between the 9th and 13th of December, that is of course unless you plan on selling it like Ebay user technologysupps. Listings began appearing on Ebay for verified pre-orders for the consoles which were selling originally for $500 and were getting lots of interest, technologysupps limited edition console sold for a massive $15,100.00 getting 106 bids.
