Sony Computer Entertainment just made the 1.74 version of the PS4 firmware available for download in all regions (Europe, United States, Japan and Asia). The size of the update is 194 megabytes, and took about 60 seconds to download and install. The changelog is the usual simple one we find in this kind of small update: “System software stability during use of some features has been improved.” That’s it. Looks like we’ll have to wait for the 1.8 version in order to get relevant new features. According to earlier rumors, we might get it shortly after Gamescom in August. In the meanwhile, we can take heart in the belief that the PS4 must now be the most stable system ever.
