    it works for many online games, I have used it on some facebook games in the past such as candy crush saga
    however some games will ignore your changes and revert when you reload the game.

    I have not tried it on wartune though so it's just a case of trial and error + luck to make the changes stick. ;)

    It doesn't work on Wartune.
    Now while you can get find the gold value you cant change it due to the whole client/server deal.
