Noobs guide to Gamesaving [TUT]

One question remaining though.......can I rename my files?

I got all this working last night....had a save game from dungeon defenders, and replace it with anothe save i found on the net, rehashed etc...and it worked!

But, can I have multiple game save files in the directory? I gave the "replaced" file a different name but it didn't matter, just came up as the dungeon defender save file.

So how do people manage all these different save files? I must be doing something wrong since I would like to have a bunch of different save files and be able to pick and choose which one to load. Is there a trick to how they should be named?

not sure how that game save works but i think each modded gamesave has different names so you should be able to have multiple saves as long as their not the same name.

 

sometimes it just depends on the actual game itself. some games will let you create multiple saves for the game. prototype for instance you can click start, save, and then select a slot to save the game in. this will allow you to have multiple save files that won't conflict with each other.

how do you do it without a transfer cable

 

Does this work on a RGH console? My profile doesn't have any game saves at all..but I know it does.

What i mean is I extracted my profile but there's no separate folder with the game save. But if I open 360 Rev and drag the profile on click Content...I can see what I'm looking for in this case:

Halo Reach 4D53085B.gpd

So question is this .gpd is it the same thing or not and how to I edit.
