    [Original Story]
The New Xbox One Experience started rolling out to Xbox One users all over the world just a couple of hours ago, bringing a performance improvement, a redesign and some new functionality to the console’s user interface.
The update clocks in at 1.2GB and contains improved party chat and messaging features, Windows 10 integration; new Guide and Community areas; redesigned Home, OneGuide and Store areas; enhanced Game Hubs and backwards compatibility with Xbox 360 games.
Backwards compatibility won’t be available from the outset, however. Microsoft says to expect the functionality to arrive 12 hours after the update. So expect it to start unlocking at 3:01pm ET/ 12:01pm PT/ 8:01pm GMT.
You can find a full list of the backwards compatible Xbox 360 games here. Microsoft says that any DLC you own for the listed games will also be compatible. You won’t be able to buy DLC for these games through Xbox One, but you will be able to purchase add-ons through either your Xbox 360 or Xbox.com, which you will then be able to access on Xbox One.
    [Update]
Microsoft has warned that a "small number" of users may experience a "slower than normal" boot-up when restarting their Xbox One console for the first time after installing the New Xbox Experience update.
If this happens to you and you get stuck in the Xbox One boot-up animation, Microsoft advises that you don't touch the console for 15 minutes. When that amount of time has passed, you should turn the console off by holding the power button for 10 seconds. Wait 15 seconds, power your Xbox One up again and you should be good.
It's not the only potential issue facing those who install the update. For a comprehensive list of "known concerns" and solutions, check out Microsoft's support page here.
