did the jtag nand rrod of if it did bang it on the floor with the silver part down my hdd just did that(it had e79 it was a retail) Wtf kind of advice is that !!! Sent from my iPhone without me knowing
Make sure you have named the "Filesystems" folder correctly, you could just use a 360 transfer cable to change if needed Sent from my iPhone without me knowing
The hdd might be lose and not in the connector it makes it go back in and fixs it So does pushing it in place nicely Sent from my iPhone without me knowing
It is called "Red Ring." Your system is ruined there is really no way to fix it. If I were you I'd take your hard drive out, buy a new system, put your hard drive in that one, and sell the hard drive that the system came with (unless you buy one off eBay or Craigslist without it) to get some of your money back.
If I remember correctly, if it boots to RGLoader without the hdd(minimal mode) but fails with hdd plugged in its the Filesystems folder that can be the issue What console is it? Also what version of RGLoader you using ? Sent from my iPhone without me knowing
The red ring is a way of expressing an error code. This is how we can tell what error it is and fix it, i believe you are thinking of the red ring of death which is related to overheating and yes this is very difficult to fix, but some red rings can just be because you dont have an av cable plugged in and for this error it is related to a software issue and has nothing to do with hardware. So no his console is not broken luckily! thanks for trying to help though!
It's your filesystems folder, make sure it's on there and that the HDD is plugged in. If you need to copy it, get a sata to usb adapter, you can find these in any old external HDD casing.
firstly your console aint ruined,as its booting without the HDD,so ignore the idiots who say it is. as others have stated it is just a problem with the files on the HDD,either get hold of a 360 transfer cable and hook it up to your comp that way ,follow this guide on how to hook it up to your pc and access the HDD http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/how-to-connect-your-xbox-360-hard-drive-to-your-pc/ , then just re-add/replace all the corrupt/missing files from RGloader to the HDD. this happened to me when i i moved to RGloader at first and this is what i did with addz's advice and it worked perfectly mate
don't use a 360 transfer cable theres a lot of knock offs out there that will just corrupt your hdd. go with what starkiller said usb 2 sata and follow the guide hax posted personally i use these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/USB-2-0-to-eSATA-external-SATA-3Gbps-Convertor-Adapter-for-2-5-3-5-hard-disk-/350699388522?pt=UK_Computing_Drive_Cables_Adapters&hash=item51a74ffe6a but you may want to find one thats based in the uk otherwise you could be waiting upto 3 week to receive it
I would be able to have got this done by now, but I can't access my HDD these stupid 250GB slim HDD's.
If it gets to the point, send the box back to me and I'll sort it for you since it's still under my 6 month warranty.
Think i will have to mate, I can't access my HDD at all, but you must be able to lmao. I will talk to you on skype mate about it and I have another Xbox for you to do btw mate.
