MICROSOFT have given an update on the games set to be released in January for the Xbox One Backward Compatibility program.
For those console owners eager to find out what games will be added to the 2016 roster, there isn’t too long to wait.
Xbox chief Phil Spencer has revealed that the January titles will be revealed very soon, although failed to supply an exact date.
Xbox engineers are currently playtesting the final games, which is probably for the best following the problems encountered with Halo Reach.
Reach was recently made available for the Xbox One via backward comp program but suffered from frame rate and graphics issues when launched.
Microsoft released a large update, around 732 MB in size, to combat the issues which appear to have solved the frame rate problems.
Spencer told fans on Twitter that the final list of BC games would be announced soon, writing: "Have a couple more games doing the final run through on, wanted to wait until we had the full list, not too much longer.
The Xbox One Backward Compatibility program originally launched in November 2015 with 104 games available, the list has since grown after a new intake or around 16 titles were added in December.

Halo Reach needed an update to improve performance on Xbox One
Microsoft have also confirmed that they hope to add hundreds more games to the roster in 2016, although some of the most requested titles, bar Call of Duty: Black Ops, have yet to be confirmed.
This includes Skyrim, Red Dead Redemption and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, while
Halo Wars, Skate 3, BioShock, BioShock 2, BioShock Infinite and Black Ops are set to be added in the coming months.
Microsoft have made a big push to use fan feedback to boost the performance and experience offered on the Xbox One.
One of the most recent requests fulfilled by the company is the announcement of a Gone Home: Console Edition being released on the next-gen console.
