when i download this file it doesn't work when i extract the files. I click on the tool and nothing happens. Im currently running win 8

This editor tool is still not working after the last EA patch "#3". You can open the file and add points but when you load it up in the game the point total does not change. It is the same total before you edited it. Can someone please fix this issue and update the editor tool?
I just got this to work on my game. Here are some points that have to be met for this to work post-update. 1. Your game is offline and it is a Created Player. NOT Game Face, Active Player, or Legend. 2. For this to work you must delete the Madden 13 Title Update (~26 mb) from your hard drive as well as your Roster Update. 3. After deleting those start the game and DO NOT get the title update. Select no and opt out to go offline from XBOX Live. 4. Start a fresh new CREATED PLAYER character and do one practice so you have like 200 xp. 5. Save the game onto your USB drive, extract with Horizon, use the tool provided to mod however you want and proceed to put your file back to your USB drive. If done correctly the tool should have worked for you. SIDE NOTE : After modding your character and using your points you should be able to restart the game and get all your updates again without any problems. Essentially, you can get a Game Face character file to work like this. First, create and edit a created character and import your Game Face after editing your stats.
jaysekhon: By doing these steps it defeats the update patch from EA. What I am after and many others, is to be able to edit and create your own roster to use in the game. And also be able to edit your player in the game. (Like you could do in Madden 2012). The patch from EA gives you the ability to use custom rosters in the game, so this tool needs to be updated so you can edit your player with the latest EA patch applied.
I've used a few Madden 13 Save Editors it only worked once on a fully updated copy of the game with a Game face character. Got the 65k XP used it on the superstar upgrade and some minor ones. Then saved brought it back to the PC used Horizon and Tool again. Set XP up Sept this time when i loaded it on xbox it had same xp it was at when i saved. Yes i made sure it wasn't in edit mode also noticed the legacy wasn't working. Other then my misfortunes with the tools it was pretty great. Specially with the EA Rehash built in.
