    Hey Guys!

Kind of a newb at the advanced hex-editor thing, and I've been looking over everyone's comments/solutions, and I'm still kind of stuck. I was able to extract the package (it's a Connected Franchise, Owner & Player), and was able to get it all put into the modded folders, but when I go into the hex editor itself, and search for 60056 (which is the amount of the XP that my player currently has) it says that it can't find it. I'm putting in the 2 links belonging to the files. If someone could take a look at them, and let me know what I need to do, or could max out my XP and the cash for my owner (it's currently at $15.7M) that would be AWESOME! Thanks!!!

The reason you won't find your XP by simply search is because the values are not stored in exactly 4 bytes. You should have a small number of differences between the two files. Then look through the differences for the hex of the value you're looking for.

    Heey UnnamedOne!

I was able to go in and find the HEX Value for my XP 60056, but couldn't find the one that was for my owners funds. It said that the HEX Value was EA98, and when I did the comparison between the two I did find that EA98 and the difference underneath, i'm just sure how to enter in the FFFFF's to get it to work. Last time I did it said that the file was damaged and couldn't be used, so i'm not sure what i'm not entering in correctly to get the XP to change to unlimited.

You just need to go one byte to the left of the difference and overwrite what is there with FFFFF and continue with the tutorial. Make sure you are overwriting and NOT inserting.

K... so this is going to be a really stupid question, but I want to make sure i'm completely understanding this, and making the right changes.

I'm on Offset 00248E40 in my HEX Editor. The HEX equivalent for my XP was EA 98 which shows up in rows 04 and 05.... I look underneath at my updated one, and its showing 42 64 which is correct because I checked the HEX Equivalent on my calculator and it matches. Before 42 64, there's D6 9A 40 00 and then 42 64 and so on down the rest of the line.

Which do I need to change to FFFFF? Because it's only letting me put in 2 characters per row. Sorry but i'm really green at hex editing. Thanks in Advance!

And i am going to go ahead and throw up the correct 2 files so if someone wants to take a look, and make any adjustments or let me know how to do it, I would really appreciate it :)

First file is the one that's the original Connected Franchise (60056 XP for Player and 15.7M for Owner) and the 2nd one is the changed one (16996 XP for Player and still 15.7M for Owner).

    Thanks in Advance!!!

Tried to do some funds modding and got to the stage in finding differences and there's a bit too much, I think. Emphasis on "I think" because I'm on the same week of the two files, the only difference is I upgraded my bathrooms and I went from 23.8 M to 3.84 M, I don't know I how to find numbers with decimals on a HEX conversion chart. If anyone want to take a shot for me and do my funds (and coach XP, but I don't think I've spent any, so i doubt it), I followed all the steps and didn't advance the week and only made the difference I needed to make in spending money for the modding. Here are my two files, extracted out of the container:

    CAREER-BASE http://www.NOTALLOWED.com/file/31DBD5C115C444AF
    CAREER-NEW http://www.NOTALLOWED.com/file/E05E5719B67F5CCE

I'd really want to learn to do this, but it's been three hours and I think I've mentally exhausted myself, I hope to try again soon or learn. But if anyone wants to help, that'd be awesome. I just hope I can return the favor one day (or we get a tool)

OK so I was able to at least get the XP to work, but it wont let me do the five F's... will only me change the 4 numbers to FFFF so I end up with 65K in XP everytime. It's good, but I am having to spend, resave, do the entire process over again, and then go back, use more and so on. I'm not sure why it wont let me do 5 F's, everytime I do, it acts like it doesnt make any changes at all, and i'm putting the first F to the left of the 4 bytes that i'm changing per the instructions. Also I still cant seem to find where the money is located either. Any ideas on that? Please let me know.

    Thanks!

FINALLY got the XP to work. Still cant get the money to work though.

with XP... you can only get to 65545 (FFFF) so when you get that, and put it into your game save, go on and gain a little more XP (play another game/do a quick practice) and that will push you over the FFFF and into the 5 letter hex-decimals... at that point you can change it to FFFFF and it will give you 1 Million in XP. Now I just have to find out how to detect the money inside the save, and everything will be good.

For the money the difference will be 3 or 4 bytes depending on the amount you spend. Go through the changes and check if the numbers correspond to what you had in each save.

Problem is i'm not even finding that set of numbers. Case in point, right now my owner has $1.01 million dollars, so that (1010000) equals F6950, and i'm not able to find that anywhere in the save when I search using the HEX Editor. That's what's confusing me. I was able to find the XP and adjust it for my player no problem.

The game shows 1.01 million but in reality it could be something like 1,012,253. So searching directly will not work. Instead you should go through the differences and you'll find something like 1,012,253 and that is your number.

There's a ton of differences though between the two even though the only change i've made is with the funds itself, and nothing else. I just tried reloading an old save, that had $15.7 M on it, and when I looked up the first part of that hex (EF9) i went through the list that it came back with, and compared it with the one that only has $1.01 M on it and they're both identical, so the EF9's all appeared in the same place on both. Not sure what else I can do... and I wish there was a way to find the EXACT amount of money I had, that would make it 15.7 Million times easier LOL

I'm in the exact same place, man. If I could just find the exact place of money, I'd be really happy.

Yep and the problem is, unlike XP where it's completely descriptive, they have to "summarize" the money lol. Eventually we will find a way to figure out what spot it's in, but it's really hard to do when you cant do many upgrades due to the fact that they cost a ton.

Yeah, I definitely see that. In order to make the differences, you have to spend money, which usually means that the game will do a Twitter or news update in CCM, which will change so many variables between the two files. So in that sense, you have to deal with all kinds of news summaries and odd values when trying to find it, and that's where I got overwhelmed.

I can tell you both that for me the offset of funds was: 0x4A6A64. So look for differences around that offset.

Will keep an eye out in that area. So in your case, how far "off" was yours? like mine is 1.01 Million, and i'm looking around for anything close to F6950 in the Hex Editor. Also were both of the monetary amounts in the same place on yours and it was still in the same 00000054.frt save? Since I know that when I unpacked mine, it gave me 2 zips, one that everytime I go to it, says its identical, and the other one is where I was able to make the XP changes and whatnot.

I keep getting "Uknown File Type! Please extract the save from its container using Horizon or another such program"

I used Horizon, extracted it to my desktop and this is the error I get when trying to open my save.
