A fan-made remake of the original Metal Gear has been shut down by Konami, despite the publisher giving the project its blessing earlier this year. A trailer for the project has been released, revealing that David Hayter had recorded dialogue for the game. https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=BLGSxQifJW0 The remake was being helmed by mod team Outer Heaven, who said that the project had been allowed by Konami to proceed as long as no money was charged for the end product. However, the team has sent a statement to Metal Gear Informer which read: The trailer reveals that former Solid Snake voice actor David Hayter had signed on and even recorded a handful of lines. The demise of the remake seems a real shame, as what’s on display here looks very promising indeed.
