Your laptap holds quite a bit of value, I bet that machine could be built for less than £500 easily. I'd say, sell the laptop then build a PC to your own spec (with our help)
yeah its a good laptop but I want a decent desktop just to leave downloading games etc when im out and ive just moved into my own place so I think that desktop would look nice in my front with a decent desk and nice shiny black monitor ..
If you get that Desktop there is always room for improvement... obviously when games become more demanding hardware wise and it will be easy for you to upgrade! you should get it.

Not top notch and lacking in some places, but it is a pretty solid rig. I would ask him to take a photo of the inside. Believe it or not, you can kind of judge the condition just by looking inside. If all the wires are organized and it has a fair amount of space, that means the builder cares about the rig and has good airflow. It is no doubt a good custom rig that someone has put research into and really cares about. It looks nice and is a solid trade. If you have no use for a laptop, I would do the trade, no doubt. And I would hurry before some takes the rig before you. Also, do you mind asking him what the module is on the front of the case? And can you PM me what it is? I am really interested and kind of want to install one on my rig
Couldn't of worded it better myself mate OP listen to this guy he's exactly right, I myself I used to build/service/repair all the time and these things you need to do the spec's might be good but always best to get in and have a look get pic's +rep to ya mate
update i went and had a look at this it was nice and clean and tidy inside so decided to swap it runs really great and keeps nice and cool well there is 6 fans in there really happy with it so far . its on windows 7 so runs programs like junglefasher and burnermax easily unlike the mess about i had on my laptop with windows 8 .
You made a good decision. Coming from someone who has built my own computer, a custom desktop is a great thing to have. Far more powerful than stock laptops and desktops, plus the best part about it is... if you want to upgrade, you dont have to buy a new computer. If you want to upgrade ram, just buy new ram and install. same goes for GFX and CPU.
cheers mate i love how quick i can download to it to be honest it seems to go 10x quicker than when i was downloading to my laptop .
That is an internet issue. If you are talking about game rendering, then the desktop will certainly be faster and more stable
