Ok, so whenever I start my jtag up, I will get 1 red ring. I'll wait about 30 seconds, turn it off and then back on and it will be perfectly fine. My first thought was a bad launch.ini file. The issue is once I get the red ring and then reboot, it's like everything resets. I have to pick my language and region and my content controls etc.. Also, something weird, My region was originally US and for some reason now it always defaults to UK. This was only after my latest update. So, I'm wondering if the flash is bad. How I can fix it. I haven't used mt jtag in a few months, so I'm a little lost on updating it. I can't remember fully. Also, if I boot it by clicking the eject button (going into xellreload) I NEVER get the red ring. So you have a problem on your HDD thats giving the RROD. Remove any files/plugins you have installed lately. Really you need to pin point the problem and remove it. Or do fresh install on the HDD. I would think its more likely a plugin but don't hold me to that.
Hmm, alright thank you. Would I do any damage if I deleted anything besides xex menu and my kv files? Can I delete freestyle dash and my launch.ini, sorry to ask so much, I just don't want to mess anything up and I've been out of the jtag game for awhile xP
You can delete your launch.ini if you wish aswell as Freestyle dash it will not cause any harm, but as Heavy Smoker said you may have to do a complete fresh install of your HDD(wiping it completely.) to stop the red ring occurring.
