iOS 8 is compatible with these devices

Following months of rumors and speculations, Apple today unveiled iOS 8 at the WWDC keynote in Moscone Center, San Francisco.

Apple announced that iOS 8 beta will be available to registered iOS developers starting today, and will be available publicly later this fall. If you’re wondering if your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch is capable of supporting iOS 8, here’s a list of all the supported devices:

    • iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5 and iPhone 4s
    • iPad Air, iPad 4, iPad 3 and iPad 2
    • 2nd gen iPad mini, 1st gen iPad mini
    • iPod touch 5th gen

So this means if you’re the owner of an iPhone 4, iOS 7 will be the last major supported version of iOS for your device.
