Does this work say if a freind buys the game disc based? If i have my xbox set to his home xbox will i be able to get the digital version of a disc based game he bought? No only digitally Lol no home sharing is the same as license transfer, except without the delay of a couple months.... and no it's not license transfer .. You just need to sign in on his profile once to do the setup.. Then the games become available to download on your console even if you're signed in to your own profile ..
If you home share your main profile on another xbox then you can only play digital games with your main profile. Or on the home shared xbox with any other profile. Thats what license transfer does, similar atleast. Sent from my Xperia Z1 using Tapatalk.
Can you only do this with one person at a time? For example, if I do this with someone an then change my home console for someone else would the initial person then lose everything? I couldn't imagine them not losing but hey it's worth a shot.

No need to touch friends xbox after initial setup even if you decide to change password to make things secure... SF thanks for conforming this

So sorry i'm being an idiot here, basically I want to play my friends RYSE then give him his profile back so he can do all the whole sharing thing with his brother. I don't want to keep the game or keep sharing with him as I'm gonna sell my Xbone soon. is that possible? :|

l sold the disc, but per the download rule, the game is still on my console. Wondering if having my buddy sign in would give me access to the game again...
