It needs internal hdd. I hope someone will find a way to bypass this just like with dragon age inquisition...
Edit: I've tried to extract content files and put them to the root of dvd2 (similarely like da3 method) it skips the internal hdd message but stucks into infinite loading loop. Oh and using this method for some reason metal gear online works (although you can only walk aroud alone because, obviously, no live ;D)

Thanks for the update. Some people having issues with 4GB consoles.
Did you follow the exact guide mate? It should work fine for you? If you transferred the folder with the content via file manager. The only reason it would still pop with "please install disc 1" is if you saved to device through Horizon and transferred it through NXE to HDD.

Good to hear all is working! Enjoy the game.
I'm just going to clarify the Install Guide for MGS V: TPP for people using a 4GB RGH.

You must have a bigger internal HDD for the game to work. As the four files in the content folder are 1.0GB+ 1.9 GB+
It's required to put the install files to your Internal HDD. It wont work by putting the files on through USB or External HDD.
Only the game file 6.0GB + is to go there and nothing else.

As i have said in previous posts an Internal HDD would be cheap now. ( £27.86 ) inc. Delivery on Amazon.
Check your local store also Gamestop... as they will sell second hand HDDS for cheap too. It's easy to swap the HDD too.

Sorry guys but you need an Internal HDD bigger than 4 GB + to get this game to work!

    Me too!
Transfered the 4 content files to my internal hdd(ftp) and made a god container out of disc 2.
Doesnt work- it says i have to be signed in to xbox live to download the instalation files.

You have done it wrong then. Follow the guide and you won't get that message popping. ;)

The 4 files are in the right place.
Unless disc 2 cannot be played in a god container.
My structure is this: HDD(internal)\Content\0000000000000000\4B4E085E\00000002\"4 install files"
    HDD(internal)\Content\0000000000000000\4B4E085E\00007000\god container files

Then run default.xex in disk 2
    anything wrong ?

@iyads Yeah transfer to content folder in HDD just like that but manually transfer don't inject through horizon and move from one storage device to another in nxe use file manager on fsd and do it manually.

    @ari01
Don't think God file works. Try this method extracting the .iso (disc2) to the phantom pain folder and put on external USB or HDD and do the content folder like I said above.

Fixed, don't use God container for disk 2, run from default.xex
