How to get the Destiny BETA FREE 1. Go to the PSN Store 2. Pre-order Destiny 3. The Destiny BETA will automatically download 4. Log into PSN Online and cancel your pre-order in your wallet 5. Destiny BETA is on your system ready to go on the 17th July 6. You have until Sep to cancel the pre-order unless you enjoy it of course :king: Credits to Granty for putting me onto this *Note: Not tested on the XB1 so if someone can verify it's the same that would be a great help to people
Will this work for xbox 360 as well? Can someone test and verify? Done the same for 360. Worked my way, will post another thread explaining.
Edit: After I added my card and tried again it let me go through. But there wasn't any download. Also don't know where to go to cancel it. I don't know anything playstation. Edit again!: Going back and looking through it, it looks like I actually bought it full. So lost. No one in this thread! Should not have done. actually charged full $60. I can't afford to buy the game and the ghost?!?!? PLease someone.... Much sadness.... The master betrayal....
Wanna hear something strange.. I posted this exact same topic except for Amazon, and a moderator removed it. lol. Wonderful share tho <3 it works.
if you guys want this for xbox/360 the easiest way I have seen to do it is to preorder on amazon, you'll be sent the beta code straight away, and then you can redeem the code and cancel the preorder make sure you check the amazon page though, as on amazon.co.uk, there was a notice saying that orders after the 17th wouldn't receive a beta code, but ordering on amazon.com worked fine
You need to go to store.playstation.com then sign in and at the top right click your name then account settings, after that look around the left side and see if you can cancel it.
My girlfriend pre-ordered a bit too late and missed out on a code! So thank you so much for this guide, for anyone wondering it still works, even if you do it now!
No cancel button for me. Waited 2 hours to talk to chat, they say I cannot cancel because of the terms of agreement or whatever saying all sales are final. Filing dispute on credit card that I am sure to lose, will likely be screwed into buying the game. That's my experience.
Just claim that it was a young relative that brought after watching videos on youtube. Does PSN ask for any security answers before confirming a purchase? if not, then you could actually win it on the basis it's easy for a young child to make purchases online if they come up with some **** and bull about setting them, say you live on your own and you have no need to use the security as its only you that uses it but on this occasion you let your young relative play on it. easy to pass the blame onto big companies when basic security isn't on by default, same as Xbone
Just to confirm, my gf was able to cancel her payment only moments after the download had installed and finished. So this should still work fine!
