If you're searching for gold, for example, you won't really need to decrypt it. Just search your value as an Integer Number, and choose, any byte, and either choose Little Endian or Big Endian. If you don't find it using one, try searching it in the other. It's easier said than done because I'm trying to mod my gold too for D3 and I've found the actual offset, just corrupts my save. Hax said there wasn't a checksum for the game so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Still working on it.
Only class I could actually find gold in HxD was the barbarian. I tried with a wizard and nothing. Also, here are some cool offsets I found. Just some basic stuff. To set it true, change the 0 to a 1. Code: Elective Mod (???) - 0000D749 Show player HP bar - 0000D6A0 Show player name - 0000D68A Show damage numbers - 0000D634 Show criticals - 0000D647 Show heal numbers - 0000D61D Show HP bar numbers -0000D608
save has alot of checksums and security on it,really hard to edit via savegame. i edit it in a different way via my rgh.
sorry to say but if you don't know what the decryption is in the saves that your trying to edit your never going to get anywhere as they will corrupt i had a go at gamesave hexing and did ok but then found out nearly every gamesave has encryption and different types i had to give up as i dont know much about finding the location, size, type of encryption. i think you might do better if you did the trainers it would be easier for you unless you're very good with encryption/decryption.
thanks for theese i will look at using them i take it i change the first zero to a 1 if you say you do peek poker im goin to go nuts i was trying that all night it was taking me almost an hour to dump and i was finding nothing thanks for response people
Any luck on manually hex editing a game save to increase gold and stats for Diablo III? If so, any way you could share that info with me? I'm new to modding saves (so far I've modded gold in Game of Thrones) and I just picked up Diablo III and want to learn to manually mod the game saves using a hex editor and Horizon. Appreciate any help you could give me
