hi Basically my disc drive is dead. I know your supposed to put like for like in, but rather than buying on I've been given a toshiba drive from a broken xbox360. Is there any way of getting my Xbox360 that has a benq disc drive to accept the toshiba one? please and thank you
I know back in the day you could "spoof" the drive to match the mobo using jungleflasher,, but tbh I have not done much with discs since XGD3 got popular, and never cared if they were live safe since I never played online,, as long as the disc would read I was happy :lol: seems I remember people saying that "spoofing" doesnt work with LT3/burnermax/XGD3 format , I'm sure someone will answer your question in a more up to date manner
You cannot spoof drives anymore especially for online play. Do this at your own risk. I advise buying the same drive and pull key from old drive and flash new drive with the key using JF easier that way Hope this helps
