Guidelines for Submitting Articles to the Homepage

Hey all! We are now offering members the ability to write up their own articles to be reviewed for the homepage and possibly promoted to show there, if it's good! This topic will explain the criteria and guidelines on how to submit them, and what a good article is.

Article Criteria

• The article MUST be yours and yours only. Not a single sentence in it can be copied from your source article, however one or two words, such as names, are fine.
• The article must be about gaming, technology, or modding news. This is a gaming site, so world news doesn't belong on the front page. Those articles will be moved to their corresponding section (General News Discussion).
• Rewording if fine, as long as you do it right with no copy and pasting, and you provide a source at the bottom of your article linking to the article you reworded.
• Your article must have AT LEAST 2 paragraphs if not more, of relevant information. Quotes can count as a paragraph if we editors deem it a good quote.
• You must have an image relating to your article topic on the top of your post, in other words a "header image."
• Always use correct grammar and remember to double check your spelling. We won't mind a couple minor mess ups but if there's more than 2, you will get denied.
• Keep your article's format clean and simple, with the default colored text and in paragraphs. Don't touch the alignment, text color, text size, etc.
• NEVER ask an editor to promote your article, we will decide if it's worthy and promote it on our own time.
• This list will most likely be updated over time.

How to Submit an Article
To submit an article, simple create a topic of your article that meets all the guidelines above, in the gaming news section found here. Patiently wait for our verdict, we will make a post if your article is promoted.
